Year Economic Forum 2015
Global Lithuanian Leaders network together with law firm TRINITI would like to invite you to the 6th discussion "Lithuania, quo vadis?" devoted to the role of leadership in contemporary society.
Adaptive leadership concept has been developed and promoted by the Harvard Kennedy School and applied by many practitioners world-wide. It is about diagnosing the essential from the expendable, understanding the relationship between leadership and authority, exercising influence, and managing the individual and institutional dynamics of change. It challenges you to look beyond quick technical answers, and asks you to examine yourself and the competing commitments and loyalties in your organization or community.
During the open debate we jointly will have an opportunity to explore this concept of exercising leadership, whether being in a position of authority or just one member of a group.
We believe that we have the recipe for the leadership so join us for debate!

A live meetings industry market place for the countries of the Baltic Sea region.
CONVENE is a new business to business two day event for the meetings industry for the countries of the Baltic. It is intended to create an annual international show case for the regional meetings industry and accelerate the interest in, and demand for, holding meetings, incentives and conferences in the region.
Launched by Vilnius Convention Bureau the event offers a fully hosted buyer programme which will accommodate 160+ qualified buyers from whole Europe. Up to 100 exhibitors including convention bureaux, hotels, conference centres, special venues, DMCs, PCOs, specialist suppliers from Lithuania and six other countries of the region (Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Russia) will showcase their meeting products and services. The event will again be supported by a major professional education programme and a series of high quality business networking events. CONVENE will offer a number of fam trips to Lithuania and neighbouring destinations that wish to host the international buyers attending the event.
With a strong focus on education and knowledge, CONVENE aims to equip the buyer and supplier communities with the tools to create more effective meetings and events.
The CONVENE Education Sessions are open for all exhibitors, hosted buyers, visitors and non exhibiting suppliers. Sessions are relevant for all those involved in creating, planning and managing meetings, events and conferences as well as professionals in the advertising, marketing and communication fields. Participation is free of charge and additional registration is not required.
On 8, February 2014 , in Vilnius, at "Pramogu Bankas" , hall "Vakaris Vilnius“ the tournament „ARROW Fight Night“ - a revolutionary event in the history of Lithuanian martial arts will take place. The best Lithuanian and foreign fighters will fight for "Arrow" champion title (category up to 81 kg). Tournament organizers are waiting for guests from Russia and Great Britain. "ARROW Fight Night" - the highest level of organization, fight sports event, which will change the public perceptions of the same events in Lithuania. Wonderful atmosphere, impeccable sound, script-like U.S. tournaments and most capable fighters - it's not a dream, this year's show. The entire January we made video reports about each fighter's preparation for the tournament, which will allow you meet each participant of the show. You can become a part of it!
The LSDP members are to vote for the final candidates for the presidential and European Parliament elections during the party’s congress, which will take place in Vilnius, “Litexpo”, on 18th of January.
The Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius has once again firmly assured that he has no intention of running for the President office. Zigmantas Balčytis, the member of the European Parliament and one of the LSDP vice-chairmen, today stands as the party’s major candidate. He is yet to be approved by the party’s bodies – the Presidium, the Council and, ultimately, the Congress. The decision of the LSDP members will be final.
Accordingly, the party Congress will decide on the list of 22 candidates running for the European Parliament.
